Accounting Officer Intermediate

Salary Range: $55,185 - $80,492 annually
This position performs technical and analytical financial and administrative work to support PERA’s Statewide Voluntary Firefighter (SVF) Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans. The role assists with SVF financial operations and reporting for participating fire departments, supports coordination with internal PERA staff and external partners, and helps ensure financial activity aligns with applicable laws and accounting standards.
This position administers and coordinates daily operations of PERA’s document management and benefit application processing activities by planning, directing and supervising employees, program activities, projects, and business functions which review and maintain the data integrity and security of member, employer and agency records.
This position performs advanced accounting work to support PERA’s financial operations and reporting, including reconciling activity across multiple systems, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with state requirements.
